Interiors and finishing · Painters and decorators

Let your paintwork do the talking.

A family have just moved in and every wall is the wrong colour. They search for a decorator on a phone and open a few sites. They look for sharp edges, smooth walls and a tidy room. Then they look for an easy way to ask for a price.

Your website, drawn. An illustration of a website for painters and decorators. It is a drawing, not a real site.
Before they ask

What people want to know

Are the edges neat?

Straight lines and smooth walls are easy to spot in a photo. Close pictures of finished rooms, taken in daylight, show that you take care.

Will you protect my floors?

People picture drips on the carpet and dust on the sofa. A short page about sheets, tape and tidying up each day puts that picture out of their minds.

Can you do the whole house?

Some customers want one room and some want the outside too. A plain list of what you paint, inside and out, tells them you cover their job.

Is asking for a price easy?

Most decorators look at the job before they quote. We explain that visit in simple steps and add a short form, so asking takes a minute.

Proof

Proof that wins the quote

  • Close-up finished work

Sharp edges and smooth walls are clearest in close pictures. Daylight photos from your phone are enough.

  • Before and after pairs

Two photos of the same wall tell the story at once. Send them as you go and we set each pair side by side.

  • Words from customers

A line from a happy customer sits next to the room you painted for them. Nothing is changed and nothing is added.

  • Your care on site

Photos of dust sheets down and tools tidied away show how you treat a home. Small things like these put a customer at ease.

Registrations and memberships

Some painters belong to a trade body or hold a card for work on site. Should you hold any, each one gets a clear place on your website. We list nothing that you do not hold.

What we build

The pages we build

  1. Home

One strong photo of a finished room, a line about what you paint and a button to ask for a price.

  2. Our work

Finished rooms and outside jobs in clear photos, with a short note on the colours and the finish.

  3. What we paint

Inside, outside, wallpaper and woodwork, set out in a short list that is easy to scan.

  4. How we work

A page that walks through the visit, the prep, the painting and the tidy-up, step by step.

  5. About you

You, your team and a few lines on the way you work, with a photo of you on site.

  6. Get a price

A short form that asks about the rooms, the walls and the date the customer has in mind.

Planning ahead

Outside painting waits for dry, mild weather, so spring and summer fill the diary. Inside work carries on all year and picks up before Christmas, when people want the house ready. Rental homes need a fresh coat whenever a tenant leaves. Your website works through all of it, even in the wet weeks.

The Payment package

Deposits and final payments

The last coat is dry and the customer walks through the room. They are pleased and ready to pay. A card machine lets you take the final payment there and then, or a deposit before you start, with no cheque to wait for.

The terms, in full

  • Card machine £25 + VAT a month, paid to our payment provider.
  • Website, domain, hosting and one business mailbox included while you keep the machine.
  • Minimum term as set by the payment provider's agreement: 3 months for a sole trader, 18 months for a limited company.
  • Extra mailboxes £25 a year.
  • Stop the machine and we offer to keep the website live at £20 a month.

Questions

Quick answers

Can the site show before and after photos?

Yes. Send us two photos of the same wall or room and we place them side by side. A visitor sees the change in one glance.

Do you have to list your prices?

No. Many decorators say that each job is different and quote after a visit. We leave room for either choice, and we write only what you tell us.

Can the site cover inside and outside work?

Yes. Each gets its own section, so someone with a hall to repaint and someone with a fence to treat both see their job straight away.

What if you work for landlords and shops too?

It helps to say so. A short section for landlords, shops and offices, with its own photos, tells those customers that you work for them as well.

Can the site show colours and finishes?

Yes. A photo of a finished room can carry a line about the colour and the finish, such as matt or satin. Add only the names you want to share.

Can you add new jobs as they finish?

Yes. Send photos after each job with a line about the room, and we add them to your page of finished work. The site stays up to date as your jobs pile up.
