Good to know

Is the website really free?

Yes. You pay £20 a month + VAT for the card machine, plus a small fee when you take a payment. The website, hosting and changes don't cost anything extra.

What's the catch?

There isn't one. We're paid through the card machine, so we don't need to charge you for the website as well.

Is it the same website as your £20 a month one?

Yes. It's hand-built for your business, written from scratch, with hosting, a contact form, privacy and cookie pages, and changes included.

What rate will I pay on card payments?

It depends on the cards your customers use and how much you take. We work it out from your own card mix and give you one clear number before you sign up.

Are your rates really lower than SumUp or Square?

Yes. Send us a recent SumUp or Square statement and we'll show you what the same month would have cost with us, before you sign anything.

Is there a contract?

Yes, for the card machine. Sole traders sign up for 12 months, and limited companies for 18 months. Your website is included for as long as you have the machine.

I already have a website. Can you rebuild it?

Yes. Send us the link and we'll rebuild it by hand, keeping what works and tidying up what doesn't. Your current site stays live until the new one is ready.

Do I need my own domain name?

No. If you don't have one, we'll register one in your business's name. If you already have one, bring it.

What happens to my website if I stop the card machine?

You can keep your website on our normal plan of £20 a month, or let it go. It's your choice.

Do I need WiFi or my phone to take cards?

No. The machine has its own free 4G SIM, so it works anywhere you've got signal.

How fast do I get my money?

The next day, every day, including weekends and bank holidays.

Who do I call if something goes wrong?

Us. One number for your website and your card machine. The provider's support team can also sort out machine faults and replacements.
