Be the plumber people call first.
A pipe has burst. Water is running down the kitchen wall. Someone grabs their phone and searches for a plumber. They need a number to ring and a reason to trust it. Your website has a few seconds to give them both.
What a worried customer needs to see
Will anyone pick up?
Someone with a leak cannot wait for a call back tomorrow. Your number sits at the top of every page, and the page says when you answer the phone.
Do you come to my area?
A short list of the places you cover answers this at a glance. Nobody should have to ring you just to find out if you travel to them.
Is this a real business?
A name, a photo of you or your van, and a few lines about how you work help a stranger feel safe. They are about to let you into their home.
What will it cost?
Nobody expects a fixed price for a leak they cannot see. But a line about how you quote, and whether there is a call-out charge, takes away a big worry.
Jobs people ring about
- Burst and leaking pipes
- Dripping taps
- Blocked sinks and basins
- Toilets that will not flush
- Leaking radiators
- Low water pressure
- Frozen pipes
- Water tanks and cylinders
- Washing machine and dishwasher hook-ups
- New taps, showers and toilets
When the phone rings most
Cold weather brings frozen and burst pipes, so the phone rings more when the temperature drops. Heating problems show up with the first cold days. In summer, people plan bathroom jobs and bigger repairs. Your website is open all year, so it keeps working in the quiet months too.
The pages we build
- Home
Your number, your opening times and one clear line about what you fix, all on the first screen.
- Emergency help
A page for the worst moments. It says what to do while you are on your way, such as turning off the water at the stopcock.
- Jobs we do
A plain list of your jobs, so a customer can see that you handle their problem.
- Where we work
The places you cover, in one short list.
- About you
Who you are and how you work, with a photo of you.
- Contact
A big call button, a short message form and a WhatsApp link.
Proof that settles a worry
Photos of tidy work
Neat pipework and clean finished jobs say more than a sentence can. A phone camera does the job.
What customers say
A good review from a happy customer goes on the page word for word. We never write one for you.
A face and a name
A photo of you in your work clothes helps a customer feel they know who is coming to the door.
Answers before the call
A few short answers about call-out times and how you quote can save you both a phone call.
Registrations and memberships
Some plumbing work needs a registration or a membership. If you hold any, we give them a clear place on your website. Only the ones you hold are shown.
Getting paid on the day
You fix the leak and the customer wants to pay and get on with their day. With a card machine in your van, nobody has to hunt for cash or wait for a bank transfer. You can ask for payment while you are still standing in the kitchen.
The terms, in full
- Card machine £25 + VAT a month, paid to our payment provider.
- Website, domain, hosting and one business mailbox included while you keep the machine.
- Minimum term as set by the payment provider's agreement: 3 months for a sole trader, 18 months for a limited company.
- Extra mailboxes £25 a year.
- Stop the machine and we offer to keep the website live at £20 a month.
Quick answers
Can customers call you straight from the page?
Yes. We put a call button at the top of every page. On a phone, one tap rings you, so nobody has to type your number in.
Do you need to show prices?
No. A leak is different every time, so many plumbers do not list prices. A short note about how you quote is enough, and we leave room for it.
What if you are busy and cannot answer?
We add a short message form beside the call button. Someone who misses you can leave their name, their number and what has gone wrong. You read it when you are free.
Can you show that you work out of hours?
Yes, if you do. Tell us your hours and we put them where people look first. We only write the hours you give us.
Do you need lots of photos?
No. A handful of clear phone photos of finished work is enough to start. Send more later and we add them.
Will it work on a phone?
Yes. We build for a phone screen first, because that is where an urgent search often happens. It works on bigger screens too.
