Plumbing, heating and electrical · Heating engineers

Show the warm homes you leave behind.

A home owner wants to replace an old heating system before winter. They search for a heating engineer and open several sites to compare. They look for finished systems, clear plans and a calm tone. Then they look for a way to ask for a visit.

Your website, drawn. An illustration of a website for heating engineers. It is a drawing, not a real site.
Before they ask

What people want to know

How long will it be off?

Taking out a heating system worries people. A page that explains how you plan the work, and how long the heat may be off, lets them get ready.

Which system suits my home?

Boilers, heat pumps and underfloor heating all work in different ways. A short guide to each, in plain words, helps a customer know what to ask for.

What will the work involve?

People picture pipes under the floor and dust in the hall. A page that goes step by step, from survey to switch on, shows what happens and who does it.

Is it easy to ask for a plan?

A short form on every page asks about the home and the heating it has now, so a visitor can ask while they are still reading.

Proof

Proof that wins the quote

  • Photos taken mid-job

Pipes under a floor are hidden once the work is done. A few photos taken during the job show the care that no one sees later.

  • Finished systems

Radiators, controls and cylinders in clean, well lit photos. We use only the pictures that you send us.

  • Customers in their own words

Kind words from past customers go next to your finished work, copied just as they were written.

  • A plain plan

A page that shows what a plan includes tells a customer what they will get, before they ask for one.

Registrations and memberships

Heating work can bring in gas, oil, electric and water systems. Whatever you hold, we show it where a visitor will see it first. Nothing appears that you have not told us you hold.

Planning ahead

People plan new heating in the warm months, when the house can go without for a few days. Autumn is busy, as people check old systems before the cold. Winter breakdowns can turn into replacement jobs. Your website works quietly in every season.

The Payment package

Deposits and final payments

A heating job has a start, a middle and an end. Some engineers ask for a deposit for parts, a payment when the system goes in and a last one when it works. A card machine lets the customer pay each step as it comes.

The terms, in full

  • Card machine £25 + VAT a month, paid to our payment provider.
  • Website, domain, hosting and one business mailbox included while you keep the machine.
  • Minimum term as set by the payment provider's agreement: 3 months for a sole trader, 18 months for a limited company.
  • Extra mailboxes £25 a year.
  • Stop the machine and we offer to keep the website live at £20 a month.
Questions

Quick answers

Can people ask for a plan on the site?

Yes. We add a short form that asks about the home and the heating it has now. You start the chat knowing what the job is.

Do you have to list the systems you fit?

It is not a must, but it helps. Customers often search for one kind, such as underfloor heating. A short entry for each lets them find it. We list only what you fit.

Can the site talk about running costs?

It depends. A page can explain in plain words how a newer system works. We add no savings figures unless you give us ones that you can prove.

What if the job needs other trades?

Make that clear on the page. A short note about who handles the electrics or the building work stops customers from wondering.

Do you need photos of every system?

No. A few clear pictures of finished jobs are a good start. Send more when you can and we add them as you go.

Can the site say how long a job takes?

Yes, as a guide only. Many engineers say that each home is different and give a range after a visit. We write only what you tell us.
