Mission

Give small businesses a website that works, without the agency price tag.

Too many small businesses and tradespeople get quoted thousands of pounds for a website they didn't need, or end up with a half-finished page from a builder tool that nobody ever quite gets round to launching. Both outcomes come from the same place: web design has a way of making itself feel more complicated, and more expensive, than it needs to be for a business that just needs a clean, working presence online.

JW Business Websites exists to close that gap. My mission is simple: build small businesses a website that actually works — professional, fast, easy to find, and easy to get in touch with — for a fair, honest price, without a single upsell hiding in the small print.

That means one person doing the work properly, rather than an agency spreading a project across account managers, designers and developers who never quite talk to each other. It means a flat, published price instead of a quote that mysteriously grows once you're committed. And it means being upfront about what I do and don't do — no ecommerce, no directory sites, nothing I can't build to a standard I'm proud of.

If that sounds like what you're after, get in touch — I'd genuinely like to help.

In practice

What this mission actually looks like

01

One flat price

The number on the site is the number you pay — £49.95 to start, then £20 a month. No surprise invoices further down the line.

02

One person, start to finish

You deal with me at every stage — writing the copy, building the pages, and answering whenever you get in touch. No queue of departments to be passed between.

03

No ecommerce, no directories

I stick to what I do well: clean, professional websites for local businesses. If a project needs something outside that, I'll say so honestly rather than take it on badly.

04

Built to be found

Every site is fast and properly set up for Google from day one — not just good-looking, but built to actually bring in enquiries.

Who it's for

Built with a particular kind of business in mind

Mostly tradespeople and small local businesses — the kind of business that knows exactly what it does, and just needs a website that reflects that properly. See the full business types list for specifics.
