Story
I'm based in Lincolnshire, and before JW Business Websites I spent a lot of time around small businesses and tradespeople — the kind of people who are brilliant at what they actually do, and don't have the time or patience to become a website expert on top of it.
Again and again, I saw the same pattern: a business owner would get quoted an eye-watering amount for a website by an agency, or they'd try to build one themselves with a page-builder tool, get stuck halfway, and quietly give up. Either way, they ended up without the one thing that would have made the biggest difference to how their business looked online.
So I built a simpler alternative. One person — me — doing the whole job: understanding the business, writing the copy, designing and building the site, and hosting it afterwards. No handoffs, no account managers, no markup for people who never touch the actual work.
The pricing follows the same logic. £49.95 to get set up, covering your first month and your domain, then one flat £20 a month after that. No tiers, no upsells bolted on later — just an honest price for a website that does its job.
That's still how it works today. Every site on this list of business types — and every one not yet on it — gets the same approach: built properly, by one person, without the agency circus.

What started with a handful of trades has grown into a full list of business types, each with its own examples and content — see the full list.

The blog now covers the questions I get asked most — website costs, what to look for in a contract, and more.

Business VoIP and card machines are now available as optional extras for clients who want one point of contact for more than just their website.
What hasn't changed: still one person doing the work, still a flat honest price, and still no contracts or lock-in.
No plans to. I like doing the work directly, and taking on a team would mean trading that for managing people instead of building sites — not a trade I want to make.
I focus on the types listed on the site, since that's where I can do consistently good work. If you're not sure your business fits, get in touch and I'll give you an honest answer.
£49.95 one-time setup, then £20 a month flat. Built and live in 3-5 days.
