Permission first
Pictures of other people's children or guests are shown only when they have said yes. We ask you to check before we add them.
Registrations and memberships
Some photographers belong to a group or hold a qualification. If you do, we give it a clear place on your page. We add nothing you have not told us about.
Busy times and quiet times
Weddings cluster in the warmer months, so enquiries often arrive in the winter before. Families book portraits before the school holidays and before Christmas. Newborn sessions come in all year. A page that stays current helps in each season.
Paying at the appointment
Many photographers ask for a deposit to hold the date, then the rest before the big day. A card machine or a payment link lets a customer pay each part at once, from a phone, with no trip to the bank.
The terms, in full
- Card machine £25 + VAT a month, paid to our payment provider.
- Website, domain, hosting and one business mailbox included while you keep the machine.
- Minimum term as set by the payment provider's agreement: 3 months for a sole trader, 18 months for a limited company.
- Extra mailboxes £25 a year.
- Stop the machine and we offer to keep the website live at £20 a month.
Quick answers
How many photos should a gallery have?
A small set from each kind of shoot is enough to start. Ten to twenty strong pictures works well. We add more whenever you send them.
Can people ask about a date on the site?
Yes. We build a short form that asks for the date, the kind of shoot and how to reach them. You see at a glance if you are free before you reply.
Must you show your prices?
No. Many photographers share a starting price, and others say each shoot is different. We leave room for either and write only what you give us.
Will large photos slow the page down?
They should not. We prepare each picture so it loads fast on a phone and still looks sharp. Send us the originals and we do the rest.
Do you need permission to show a client?
Yes. Ask people before their photos go online, and tell us what they agreed. Many photographers show rings, flowers and wide views to keep faces private.
What if you add a new kind of shoot?
Tell us and we add a new gallery and a line in your packages. Your page grows as your range grows.
