Be the handyman people keep in their phone.
A shelf needs hanging, a door will not shut and a tap washer has gone. Someone searches for a handyman who can sort the lot in one visit. They want to see which jobs you take on and how to ask. Your website should show the list and make asking simple.
What happens on a round
- Hanging shelves and mirrors
- Putting up curtain poles
- Fixing sticking doors
- Assembling flat-pack furniture
- Mounting TVs on walls
- Re-sealing baths and sinks
- Patching small holes in walls
- Fixing loose fence panels
- Changing cabinet handles and hinges
- Small paint touch-ups
What keeps customers coming back
Is a small job too small?
Many people think a handyman only takes big days. A line that welcomes a single shelf or a sticking door makes small jobs feel fine to ask about.
Will you turn up when you say?
Waiting in for a visitor is a real worry. A short note on how you give a time slot, and how you tell people if you run late, settles it before they ask.
Is it easy to book again?
A happy customer will have another job next month. One easy button for asking again stops them searching for someone new.
Who is coming into my home?
Many people want to know who is coming before they say yes. Your name, a photo and a line about how you work help a stranger feel at ease.
The pages we build
- Home
Your name, the sort of jobs you take on and one clear way to ask, all on the first screen.
- Jobs we take on
A plain list of small jobs, so nobody wonders if their odd job is too little to ask about.
- How it works
Three short steps from asking to a finished job, so a first-time customer knows what to expect.
- Finished jobs
Photos of straight shelves, doors that now shut and tidy finishes, with room to add new ones.
- Meet the handyman
Your name, a photo and a few lines on how you work and what you like to be asked.
- Contact
A form where people can list several jobs at once, plus a WhatsApp link and a call button.
Proof of steady, reliable work
Photos of small fixes
A straight shelf and a door that now shuts show that small jobs get care. A few phone photos are plenty.
Words from customers
When a customer writes a kind note, it goes up exactly as written. We add no invented ones.
Who is coming to the house
Your photo and first name make a stranger feel at ease, because they know who to expect on the day.
A clear way to ask
A short list of what to put in a message, such as the job and a photo, helps you give a quick answer.
Registrations and memberships
Many handyman jobs need no registration. If you hold a registration or a membership, we give it a clear spot on your site. Anything you do not hold is left off.
How the year runs
Spring brings the long list of jobs people put off all winter. Autumn is busy too, with draughty doors and loose fence panels before the weather turns. Before holidays, people want small fixes done before guests arrive. Your website is there all year, so people can ask on a quiet evening.
Paying for regular work
The shelf is up, the door shuts and the customer is ready to settle up. With a card machine in your tool bag they pay on the spot, so you are not chasing a bank transfer later in the week. Small jobs add up, and quick payment keeps each one tidy.
The terms, in full
- Card machine £25 + VAT a month, paid to our payment provider.
- Website, domain, hosting and one business mailbox included while you keep the machine.
- Minimum term as set by the payment provider's agreement: 3 months for a sole trader, 18 months for a limited company.
- Extra mailboxes £25 a year.
- Stop the machine and we offer to keep the website live at £20 a month.
Quick answers
Do you need to list every job?
No. A list of the usual jobs is enough, with a line saying you are happy to be asked about others. We leave room to add more as you find out what people ask for.
Can customers send me a photo of the job?
Yes. We add a line asking people to send a photo by WhatsApp. You see the problem before you quote, which saves a wasted trip.
Should the page show my prices?
It depends. Some handymen list an hourly or day rate. Others quote for each job. Either works, and we write whichever you tell us. We never make up a price.
Can the page say which jobs you leave out?
Yes. A short note on what you leave to others, such as gas or big electrical work, saves time on both sides. It also shows that you know your limits.
How do people book a repeat visit?
They use the same message form or WhatsApp link. We can add a line for returning customers, so they know they can just say what else needs doing.
Is the site easy to use on a phone?
Yes. Most people look for a handyman on a phone, often with the broken thing in front of them. The buttons are big and the words are easy to read on a small screen.
